Pop music helps children with autism recover

Release date: 2017-03-22

William Smedley, 11 years old, is born with autism, epilepsy and severe learning disabilities. The doctor once said that he might never talk and walk normally. But three years ago, he spoke, all of which was due to the famous singer Ollie Morris of British Idol. After contacting the Orly Morris pop music album, William Smedley, who had been smashing 60 times a day, was able to take the initiative to drink water and speak with more confidence. He eventually met his idol, Olli Morris. William's mother said: "Before this, we tried a lot of treatments, but the problem is that William is not interested in any method, he still does not want to talk."

"But one day, when we drove to William's grandparents' home, he actually sang the lyrics 'Bacon and Eggs' in Busy's Busy."

But the influence of Orly Morris music is not only that, William is now not only able to walk, but even dance. Although it is not clear what caused William's illness to have such a big breakthrough, the British Music Therapy Association said that music can inspire and relax, and then have a positive impact.
