Differences and Prevention of Cucumber Two Kinds of Ill-mixed Diseases

Cucumber downy mildew and bacterial angular spot disease are two kinds of diseases that often occur in cucumber production. However, due to the unclear recognition of two kinds of disease symptoms, some vegetable farmers often confuse the two diseases and delay the timing of prevention and treatment. The differences and prevention measures between the two are introduced as follows:
First, the difference between Plaque and Bacterial Keratoderma
1. The lesion size is different. The lesions of keratodermatitis are relatively small, usually 4 to 8 mm in diameter. The color is relatively light, grayish, and later lesions are often perforated; the downy mildew lesions are relatively large, generally 10 to 16 mm in diameter, and the color is relatively dark. Yellow brown, lesions are not perforated.
2. The light transmittance of the leaves is not the same. When the diseased leaves were picked off and viewed against the sun, the spotted spot had a light-transmitting feeling, while the downy mildew spot had no light-transmitting feeling. 3. There are differences in the symptoms of the back of the leaf. The lesions around the lesions of the keratoderma lesions are obvious, and sometimes secreted milky white mucous can be seen, while on the downy mildew lesions there is a purple-black moldy layer.
4. The hazard location is also different. In addition to damaging the leaves, keratoses also seriously damage the petioles, stems, melons, etc. In the later period (especially when the environment is wet) bacteria pus often appear, while downy mildew generally only harm the leaves.
Second, comprehensive prevention and control of two diseases
1. Use excellent disease-resistant varieties. The cucumber varieties such as Jinchun No. 4, Jinyan No. 2, No. 6 and Jinza No. 3, and black sticky oil can be selected, which have strong resistance to disease, high yield and excellent quality.
2. Strengthen cultivation management. One is to choose to leave disease-free seeds or to disinfect the seeds, soak them in a constant temperature water at 50°C for 20 minutes before sowing, and then sow germination. The second is the use of nutritional breeding seedlings, mainly to increase the temperature in the early stage, according to climate change, control the seedbed temperature and humidity, strengthen the low-temperature hardening seedlings before transplanting, and enhance resistance to disease. The third is the rotation of non-guatema vegetables, which can greatly reduce the bacteria in the soil. The fourth is to remove the faded lower leaves and old leaves on time, timely topping in the later period to reduce nutrient depletion.
3. Leaf spray fertilizer. Pay attention to ecological control, reduce greenhouse moisture, spray trace elements and auxin in appropriate amounts, spray once every 7 to 10 days, spray 3 to 4 times, can significantly enhance the cucumber's own disease resistance.
4. Chemical control. The commonly used pharmaceutical agents for controlling downy mildew include: 72.2% Preclo 800x, 25% Rhodorromycin WP 1000x, 75% WP 600x, 72% WP 600 to 800 times the liquid, 69% Ank manganese zinc alternately used, the effect is good. Common agents for the control of bacterial keratoderma are: DT bactericide 500 times, streptomycin sulfate 4000 times, 72% agricultural streptomycin 4000 times, 50% omeprazole WP 800 times, 14% urea Bronze water agent 300 times, 50% Amethyst copper WP 600 times. The above medicaments are used alternately, sprayed once every 4 to 5 days, and sprayed 3 to 4 times.
