According to statistics released by the General Administration of Customs, China's imports of corn in the whole year of 2010 have seen a growth in the range of imports. The annual import volume reached 1,573,200 tons, an increase of 1,762%.

According to the report, the Customs also announced other bulk agricultural import data. Among them, the obvious increase was 98.53 million tons of rapeseed oil and a year-on-year increase of 110.8%. The annual sugar imports increased by 66% year-on-year to 1.77 million tons, and the import of barley increased. 36.2% to 2.367 million tons, strong gluten wheat imports 123.07 million tons, an increase of 36.1%, rice imports 388,800 tons, an increase of 8.8%.

Soybean oil and palm oil fell in import volume. The import volume of the two types of oil was 1.34 million tons and 4.31 million tons, respectively, down 44% and 16.5% year-on-year.
